Help

e-Clips helps you find careers and lifestyle information.

You can save items which interest you, so that you can come back to them whenever you want.

There are several ways of finding information:

Search for career ideas

If you aren't sure which careers might interest you, use this method. You can select and mix factors which you like from these groups. Choosing four to eight factors in total usually gives the best results.

  • Qualifications - choose the level you have or expect to achieve
  • Work skills - choose at least one
  • School subjects
  • Work settings
  • People at work

You will get a list of suggestions which best match your choices, listed in the order of the number of matching factors. This shows how well each area of work matches the factors you have selected. You can cancel factors or choose more, to see how that changes the list of suggestions.

Note: Not all the factors you asked for may be found together in one type of work. Also bear in mind that some of the information leaflets cover several jobs, or a whole industry.

Search by A-Z Index

Select from the A-Z index to find out about careers of interest, or search school subjects to find related careers.

Find by Job group

Select from major work categories, e.g. Design, arts and crafts, Engineering, then look at the types of careers involved.

Look at General information

For advice on making choices, about jobs and courses, and also in your personal life, look at this section.

Saving and Printing Leaflets

When you open a leaflet you have the option to ‘Save’ it. You may want to save leaflets for further viewing later and you can access them by clicking on the ‘My saved leaflets’ button. You can then open them or email them. You can also print the leaflets and you are offered three options when you click on the ‘Print’ button. You can print a screen version, a smart PDF version of the leaflet or a summary version.
